Students were lucky if they stayed dry during our Field Day!
First of all, it doesn’t seem possible that the school year is already coming to an end. Parents, I hope your children have had a good school year. It has been a privilege for me to watch your children’s growth over the school year. Please have a safe summer. For those of you who are sixth grade students, we wish you the very best of luck. In the last seven years, it has been an honor to be your principal.
-Randy Dahms, Principal

Parents, Community Members and PTO Members
There is a popular saying about raising children, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Our students have directly benefited from the wonderful support that we have felt from you as parents, from our community, and from the contributions of our PTO.
Thank you for helping to make Leesburg Elementary a special place.
For students who will be in grades 3-6, have you ever played chess? During the 2015-2016, Leesburg Elementary will enter our second year of chess club. We would love for you to be a part if you have an interest in playing this fun and challenging game.
A special thank you goes out to Maple Leaf Farms, our business partner as we look forward to working with them to continue to help make Leesburg Elementary a special place for kids. A thank you also goes out to TCU credit union, as they are also passionate about education in our school community.
Parents, again thank you for your continued support of Leesburg Elementary School. Have a wonderful summer. :)
6th grade students have graduated! Congratulations Graduates!
As we say goodbye... "My favorite animal is the turtle. The reason is that in order for the turtle to move, it has to stick its neck out. There are going to be times in your life when you're going to have to stick your neck out. There will be challenges and instead of hiding in a shell, you have to go out and meet them." -Ruth Westheimer

2nd grade was welcomed into their classrooms this morning with beach themed decorations! The second grade teachers had rotations of relays, making a "beach pudding pie", and musical chairs planned for the students. They even watched the classic beach day movie Swiss Family Robinson followed by snacks! I think you all are bringing back the warm weather!Continue reading
